Welcome! In the spirit of Advent we look forward to a new birth right here at Zion, a birth of focused planning and intentional communications. A Questionnaire has been prepared that we pray will help us discern the "mission pulse" of the congregation. Your inputs during this formative stage are critical. Please click the links in the box to the right to respond to the questionnaire and to read more about the committee's charter. Thank you!

Throughout the world, millions of families are living in substandard housing. You can help change their lives through a Thrivent Builds Worldwide trip. Join fellow Zion Lutheran members, Thrivent Financial members, and other Lutherans and volunteers, to help build a home with a partner family in need of simple, decent, affordable housing. This is an opportunity to learn new skills, experience a new culture, meet other Lutherans who share your passion to make a difference, and do something really amazing - help give a family a chance at economic independence.
If you’re a member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, you’ll receive a discount on trip costs. A donation also will be made to the Habitat for Humanity host program on behalf of members who  participate in the volunteer work trip. It’s a life-changing opportunity to see the world and feel the power of your membership in action!
Sign up now for a one-week volunteer work trip to Huehuetenango, Guatemala, from June 25th to July 3rd, 2011. No previous experience is required. Visit www.thriventbuilds.com/worldwide for trip information and eligibility guidelines. Click the below link for a map of this service project.

, 717.951.5288) is available to assist you. He is Zion's representative to LutheranHANDS for this trip, so please email or call him if you or your children intend to go to Nashville. $100 is due at the time of registration and the $325 balance is due by May 15. The missions committee is organizing yard work to help offset out of pocket expenses and will ask the congregation to once again support Zion's participation by "hiring" the travelers. As a traveler - and if you intend to use the funds - you will be expected to participate in about 1/2 of the yard work. 150 slots are available for this trip, and it is sure to be a popular missions event, so it is important that you act quickly. More information about registering as a group and yard work will be coming in the near future.
Kickoff meeting in Leatherman Hall Sunday, Feb 27 immediately following the late service. A light lunch will be provided. 20 minute presentation + testimonials. Awesomeness.
