Social Ministry Committee

The Social Ministry Committee is responsible for the social, physical and emotional welfare for members of the congregation as well as the community. They oversee such programs as the Blood Bank, Food Bank, Zion Cares, CROP Walk, Blanket Sunday, Fair Trade Coffee, and the ELCA Barnyard Project. The committee also has a strong commitment to aiding the St. Francis Free Clinic. The goals of the Social Ministry Committee are to establish a system to identify members of the congregation who will receive visits from church personnel or volunteers, explore what can be done to serve specific groups or individuals, and strengthen our joint ministry with Christ Lutheran Church. Meetings are held the first Sunday evening of the month as part of Committee Night.  The meetings are normally scheduled for 5:00 p.m. There is no set length of term for this committee.
