Education
At Zion Lutheran Church, we have a wholistic approach to education. We recognize that you cannot separate the academic requirements of life from our spirituality, and we work diligently to help families ground a God-centered dialogue in the home. You can experience this each week in Sunday School and worship. The children are learning the same scriptures and parables that will be preached and taught in worship. Children's sermons are offered the first and third Sundays of the month to help children better understand the Good News. Year-round theme-based education programs are planned to ensure that the entire family is studying and learning the same topics, to allow for discussion and growth in the home.
We are committed to education in the early years of a child's development. Zion's newly formed faith-based Lutheran Preschool helps to equip children and teachers by building faith blocks in the early of the children's development, establishing a foundation for learning the Gospel, developing unconditional love, building a positive sense of self-worth and a strong regard for others.
Running September through May, Zion Lutheran Preschool offers a warm, loving and compassionate environment where children will learn, grow and become prepared to enter Kindergarten. The mission of this preschool is consistent with the mission of the education initiatives of Zion Lutheran Church.
