PASTOR MORITZ ACCEPTS CALL TO ZION LUTHERAN
I am pleased to announce that following our special congregational meetings on Sunday June 13, a quorum of members voted in favor of calling Pastor Wayne Moritz as our new pastor at Zion. There were a total of 257 votes: 243 "yes", 12 "no", and 2 invalid votes. A 2/3 majority (67%) "yes" vote is required to call a pastor. The congregation overwhelmingly called Pastor Wayne with a 95% positive vote. Pastor Wayne accepted the call immediately after the vote was announced. His first day at Zion will be Monday July 19. Pastor Mueller will be our supply pastor on Sunday July 4th and the synod will be providing a supply pastor on Sunday July 11th.
