Faith Formation
We offer age appropriate opportunities for Christian education to grow in faith and for spiritual enrichment. Since faith is formed over time, in community and in our encounters in the world, all children, youth and adults are encouraged to participate in educational opportunities and Bible study to enrich their understanding of the Word of God and to explore their faith.
All Christian education opportunities are organized and managed by the Christian Education Committee.
Sunday School Classes: 9:15 – 10:15 am, September – May
- Preschool – Grade 6 – age appropriate groups are organized each year.
- Grades 7 – 8 – Confirmation Ministry
- Grades 9 – 12 – High School seminars
- Adults – Mini-series include Bible studies and exploration of social issues.
God’s Work Our Hands Service Project

Sunday School participants “kick off” a new year on Rally Day, the second Sunday of September with a “God’s Work Our Hands” service project. For the past few years school kits have been assembled for Lutheran World Relief (LWR). This is a fun gathering to regroup with friends and to meet newcomers to Sunday School.
Bible Study Groups
Currently, two groups for women meet on a regular basis.
Wonderful Women of God meet Wednesdays at 11:00 am, September – May. The group explores a wide range of Bible related topics as well as studies of Lutheran doctrine and theology.
Grateful Ladies of Zion meet the second Monday, usually at 7:00 pm, September – May. The time and location changes for special gatherings such as the Christmas dinner party. Check the monthly calendar for specific times and locations.
